How to set up an account

What to expect when logging into the WAIPS Portal for the first time and how to add other account users from your agency.

Agency user types

The WAIPS Portal has 2 different user types.

Super user

The super user is typically the primary contact for the agency. Super users have the authority to invite, manage and deactivate users’ logins to access the agency’s account.

General user

A general user is invited to join the existing agency’s WAIPS Portal account by the super user. Both super and general users can view their agency’s activity.

Registering an account

If your agency does not have an existing WAIPS Portal account, the appropriate team member is required to set up a super user account. This account type is designated as the primary contact for the agency and its WAIPS Portal account.

To set up an agency’s primary contact, you will need to provide WA Industry Link with:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email address

Ensure the contact information is up to date and appropriately assigned in case WA Industry Link ever needs to contact the agency.

Super user logging in for the first time

A temporary password will be sent to the email address provided to WA Industry Link to set up a super user for the agency.

  1. Go to the WAIPS Portal and enter the registered email address and temporary password. 
  2. Once on the portal, enter the registered email address and temporary password and click "Sign in”.
  3. Once navigated to the User Details page, re-enter the temporary password and create a new password.
  4. After the new password is saved, the page will redirect to the agency’s dashboard.

The dashboard serves as the homepage of the account, providing a quick view of the Agency’s Activity Log and navigation to creating Participation Plan Requirements or Participation Plan Exemption applications.

General user logging in for the first time

Agencies with an existing WAIPS Portal account who need to add new general users can do so through the agency’s super user. Alternatively, contact WA Industry Link

Once a new user has received the email invitation to join the agency’s WAIPS Portal account, they will need to create their own password. Follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the link in the email to be redirected to the WAIPS Portal where the invitation code will be displayed. Below the code, click “Register”. 
  2. Enter the registered email address and temporary password and click “Sign in”.
  3. Once navigated to the User Details page, re-enter the temporary password and create a new password in the designated text boxes. Once the new password is saved, the page will redirect to the agency’s dashboard.
