About the program

WA Health’s 18 month Graduate Development Program is designed to give graduates a head start in WA Health, whilst equipping them with skills and foundations of leadership that are essential to any career in the public sector.

The program is looking to attract well rounded graduates from a broad range of non-clinical academic disciplines, who are seeking a dynamic and highly advantageous career in the WA public health system.

If you are passionate about contributing to continuous improvement of the health system and community health outcomes, we will be welcoming applications in late March / early April for our 2026 program. Recent graduates and final year students are encouraged to apply.

Program highlights

  • An 18 month program with a range of training and professional development opportunities
  • 3 x 6 month rotations across the WA health system, including metro and the possibility of regional or rural placements
  • Extensive support network including a program coordinator, buddy (past graduate), mentor and career coach.
