The Department of Communities brings together vital services and functions that enable individual, family and community wellbeing.

We partner across government and the community services sector to support diverse communities throughout Western Australia.

Our committed people come to work every day to make a positive difference to the lives of Western Australians, including some of our most vulnerable citizens.

About the program

Communities is currently redefining its graduate program focused on developing professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to build a valuable career working with and supporting communities across the state.

Program highlights

  • An 18 month Program including 4 rotations across different areas of the department to build broad based skills and experience
  • Opportunities for regional placements
  • A program of internal development events to learn from subject matter experts covering topics such as change, risk and project management.
