About the program

Western Australia’s Parks and Wildlife Service is set to launch an exciting 2 year graduate development program in 2025.

We’re looking for graduates to join our experienced teams to work in some of the state’s most spectacular natural environments across 9 regional locations - from Broome in the north to Esperance in the south. 

Picture your next 2 years being surrounded by supportive colleagues, gaining practical and hands-on skills, giving back to the environment and regional communities – with time to enjoy WA’s natural environment at its best.

It won’t just be a job, but a chance to build practical skills while gaining experiences you'll remember for life.

As a Parks and Wildlife graduate you can use your degree to contribute to:   

  • conserving WA’s unique plants and animals
  • undertaking prescribed burning and bushfire response to manage ecosystems and protect communities
  • jointly managing national and marine parks, and conservation reserves with Traditional Owners
  • visitor appreciation and enjoyment of WA’s parks and reserves
  • conserving WA’s unique forests and ecosystems
  • protecting unique marine and coastal environments
