You can manage the authorisations for a representative to act on behalf of:
- yourself; or
- a business or volunteer organisation that you have already been authorised to administer in the WARAM.
Managing authorisations means you can:
- view the details of an authorisation;
- amend the authorisation end date either to extend or shorten the time of the authorisation will remain in place;
- remove the authorisation; or
- temporarily disable an authorisation. This function is used when you want to prevent your representative from acting on your behalf or behalf of your business but do not want to permanently remove their permission. A disabled authorisation can be re-enabled at any time.
- If you are an administrator for an entity, you can also approve or decline pending requests associated with that entity. You can always approve or decline pending requests for extension from people who are acting on behalf of yourself.
Getting started
To manage authorisations:
- sign into the WARAM;
- if you are managing authorisations for someone to act on behalf of a business or volunteer organisation, ensure you have been authorised to administer the entity. If you do not have the necessary authorisation, submit a request and wait until your request is approved before continuing.
- on the “My dashboard” page choose either:
- “My representatives” to manage authorisations sent to someone to act on your behalf or
- “My entities” to manage authorisations sent to a representative to act on behalf of your entity i.e. your business or volunteer organisation.
- after the page has been displayed, choose “Manage authorisations”;
- if you are managing authorisations for someone to act on behalf of a business or volunteer organisation, after the “Manage authorisations” page is displayed, either search for a representative or for an entity; and
- click the appropriate hyperlink;
- choose the:
- “Pending requests” selection tab to view, approve or decline the pending requests via the Action heading.
- “Authorisations” section tab to view, edit, remove, enable or disable an authorisation via the Action heading.
- If you approve / decline a pending request or edit / remove an authorisation, the representative will then be notified of the outcome.
