Accepting or declining an invitation

How to accept or decline an invitation to act on behalf of a business or another person with the WARAM.

To transact on behalf of a person or a business, you must either:

  • submit a request to act on behalf of the business and wait for it to be approved; or
  • accept an invitation.

You can only accept (or decline) an invitation if:

  • you know the unique invitation code (the invitation code should have been emailed to you);
  • the invitation has not expired (pending invitations expire 14 days after they have been sent); and
  • you have signed into the WARAM using an account that is associated with the "Invitation” email and is an exact match to the given name(s) and family name used to send the invitation.

The email will be titled "WA Relationship Authorisation Manager: Invitation”. For privacy and security reasons, the details of the invitation are not included in the email.  If you have not received or have lost the email, contact the person or business you wish to transact on behalf of and request that the invitation is resent to you.

Additionally, if you have received an invitation to act on behalf of another person, you may, depending on the online service, be required to sign in using an account against which you have already verified your identity.  This restriction is a protection against identity theft and fraud.

Getting started

To accept or decline an invitation:

  • ensure you have your email with the invitation code open;
  • sign into the WARAM;
  • choose "Accept or decline an invitation” on the "My dashboard" page;
  • enter the invitation code and click the Next button;
  • review the details of the invitation and either click the "Accept" button or the "Decline" button;
  • the process is complete when you see the "Acknowledgement” page.
