  • Identify the underrepresented diversity groups that your agency is building.
  • Use the guide to support recruiting and developing diverse talent.
  • Consider the following:
    • advertise on different online job boards, social media platforms, through disability employment service and Aboriginal service providers and networks
    • advertising through executive searches to reach a diverse group of professionals who may have specific knowledge and skills for the job
    • use inclusive language that matters to appeal to applicants from different backgrounds
    • encourage current employees to refer the job to people from diverse groups
  • highlight the different working arrangements available in your agency that supports diversity
  • harness artificial intelligence technology, if you can, to analyse applicants’ resumes for an impartial shortlist.
