Under Commissioner’s Instruction 32, in exceptional circumstances the Commissioner may approve the transfer of an SES officer to the performance of other functions in the SES provided the work performed is consistent with the purposes of the SES and commensurate with the SES officer’s remuneration.
An SES officer transferred to other functions remains part of the agency’s Executive Salary Expenditure Limit and is managed as effectively and efficiently as practicable.
