A range of platforms and services can be used to inform people with disability of employment opportunities. These complement standard platforms such as Jobs WA, Seek and LinkedIn to better target your search.
What actions can I consider?
Partner with your human resources team to:
- learn strategies to attract and recruit people with disability to your organisation
- connect with Disability Employment Services and/or the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator, and reach job candidates with disability through the JobAccess Job Vacancy Service
- advertise on the job search site The Field Jobs which is dedicated to people with disability, or a website used by disability employment service providers
- engage with people with disability through leadership networks such as Leadership WA’s LeadAbility and Disability Leadership Institute
- connect with final year students with disability through university and TAFE access, inclusion and career services such as ECU Careers and Employability Service and North Metropolitan TAFE Accessibility and Learning Support Centre
- connect with potential candidates through advocacy services run by and for people with disability.
