Program kick off
The first day explores participant goals and identifies the outcomes of the 8 month program. Participants discover key elements of adult learning theory and how this knowledge can be harnessed to enhance learning outcomes.
1. The Egoless Leader
When held in check, a leader’s ego can help with self confidence and allow them to play to their strengths.
However, leaders with an overactive ego can negatively affect those around them. They often struggle to adapt to new circumstances, put their own agenda first, seek to control situations, have a blame culture and stunt the growth of others.
This 2 day face-to-face workshop explores how adaptive leadership creates space for others to learn, and enables leaders to grow and flourish. Participants discover leadership is a lot easier when maximising the strengths of others and working collectively instead of independently.
On completion of the experience, participants can:
- understand the new world of work and how it is changing
- identify what habits, beliefs and mindsets need to be unlearnt to evolve
- apply courage and confidence to embrace fear and failure
- become adaptive leaders and build a growth mindset
- influence others and lead alongside teams for maximum impact.
2. The Cultural Leader
Modern leaders need a keen sense of intercultural understanding from both an individual and organisational point of view.
Leaders who recognise their own culturally driven values and beliefs – and how these influence their interactions with others – can build stronger relationships and develop flexibility to lead in a culturally diverse environment. From an organisational perspective, leaders who create a strong organisation culture can improve performance, align values with employees, and build trust and integrity.
This 2 day face-to-face workshop examines the concept of culture through an individual and organisational lens. Participants explore how working with multiple cultures can break down barriers, build relationships and increase connections. This increases understanding of the way organisation culture can manifest itself and the impact of leaders on creating and maintaining organisation culture.
On completion of the experience, participants can:
- positively challenge cultural and individual assumptions in the workplace
- manage cultural diversity using new skills, mindsets and behaviours
- build cultural relationships
- strengthen organisation culture, and influence internal and external environments.
3. The Insightful Leader
In today’s rapidly evolving environment, strategic insight is crucial. This session enables participants to navigate complexity with confidence, focusing on environmental scanning, anticipating forces of change, and developing proactive solutions to emerging challenges.
This 2-day face-to-face workshop goes beyond traditional leadership roles, fostering a mindset that prepares leaders to identify risks, address potential problems and future proof their teams and agencies.
Participants delve into the trends shaping society, government and legislation, exploring how these shifts impact their workplaces. By systematically tackling challenges and considering multiple perspectives, participants enhance their ability to lead with clarity and strategic purpose.
On completion of the experience, participants can:
- analyse the impacts of emerging environmental trends
- identify societal, governmental, and legislative trends affecting agency viability
- approach issues systematically, integrating diverse viewpoints
The Insightful Leader prepares participants to look beyond the immediate, crafting a resilient vision for their teams in a dynamic public sector landscape.
4. The Progressive Leader
Effective leaders simplify complexity for those they lead by understanding and interpreting challenges, problems and opportunities. By identifying problems and using practical ideation techniques, leaders create an environment of continuous improvement.
This highly practical 2 day face-to-face workshop explores how leaders tackle current problems by looking at the broader picture, seeking continuous improvement and understanding people’s response to change.
On completion of the experience, participants can:
- recognise the complexity of current problems and prioritise required actions
- use different idea creation techniques
- drive a culture of continuous improvement
- analyse how individuals react to change.
