The Elev8 program draws applications from a talented pool of high performing level 8 (or equivalent) leaders in the public sector, which makes the selection process highly competitive. We encourage you to take the time to complete your application thoughtfully and thoroughly. The information you provide will determine if you are shortlisted for an interview.

Step 1: Written application

The application form requires you to provide:

  • standard details including diversity information, eligibility confirmation, and line manager
  • a detailed response for the questions below – please prepare your responses before starting the online application as the information is not saved if you stop mid-way through the application process.
     
  1. Why would your line manager consider you a high performing leader as opposed to a leader who is meeting expectations?
  2. Great leaders recognise that learning is a lifelong process, in particular, developing self awareness about your strengths, limitations and blind spots. What are your priority development areas and why/how have you identified these?
  3. How does your motivation drive the decisions and actions you make as a leader?

At the end of the process, you can choose to receive a copy of your application via email. 

Step 2: Interviews

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.

Step 3: Appointment

Successful applicants are informed and receive further information about the program including the process of selecting their immersion workshops and coaching sessions. The participants’ agencies will then be invoiced.

Unsuccessful applicants are informed and have the opportunity to receive feedback on their application.
