Science and innovation: science and technology plan

A new 10-year plan to support the State’s science, research and technology capability, performance and impact
Last updated:

Science and technology are key drivers of economic performance, societal well-being, environmental conservation and health outcomes. They are also essential facilitators for addressing challenges such as climate change, an ageing population, national security and diversification of the economy.

A strategic approach to science, technology, research and development, alongside new investment, is needed for Western Australia to meet current and future challenges.

The 10-year Science and Technology Plan (the Plan) will address all elements of the science and technology ecosystem.
