Last updated:

Science and technology are key drivers of economic performance, social, environmental and health development. They are also essential facilitators for addressing challenges such as climate change, an ageing population, national security and diversification of the economy.

A strategic approach to science, technology, research and development, alongside new investment, is needed for Western Australia to meet current and future challenges.

The 10-year Science and Technology Plan (the Plan) will address all elements of the science and technology ecosystem.
