If I can no longer participate in the program, when must I inform the Public Sector Commission?
Please email us at leadership@psc.wa.gov.au no later than 10 business days prior to the program commencement date.
If I enrol in one cohort, is it possible to move my enrolment to another cohort?
If you notify us by email at least 10 business days before the course begins, we'll place you on a waitlist for the upcoming cohort. Please note that being on the waitlist doesn't guarantee your spot.
What online software is used for the sessions and workshops? Does this come at a cost or require a subscription?
Zoom is used for the online sessions and workshops, and course content and activities are run through the Navigator learning platform. Both platforms are free.
When will I get information on accessing Navigator?
Around one week prior to the course starting you will receive an email from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of NSW inviting you to log into Navigator. This email will include links to the sessions as well as a short video on how to use the Navigator platform. We recommend you watch this video prior to using Navigator. Make sure to check your inbox or junk/spam email in the week prior to the commencement date for this information.
What if my agency IT department doesn’t allow the use of Zoom?
You have the option to access the link through your personal device such as a phone or a personal laptop. These links are secure and confidential, ensuring the protection of your personal information.
How long will I have access to Navigator after the end of the course?
You will have access for 3 months after the end of the program so that you can refer to key information and embed your learning into your work practices.
What are the requirements to be awarded the digital badge?
As Propel awards university accreditation, a standard of achievement must be upheld. To be eligible, a minimum attendance of 80% is required and the completion of the Final Reflection task in Navigator is required.
Are there assessments?
This program does not have any formalised assessments.
How is attendance recorded?
Attendance is recorded by the name on your Zoom profile so make sure you use your full name, not nicknames or abbreviations. Make sure you join the webinars via the Zoom links provided in Navigator.
What should I do if I attended a session, but my attendance was not recorded?
Email leadership@psc.wa.gov.au with details of the session you were marked as absent and provide evidence that you were present (e.g. content covered, activities completed).
What happens if I attend the session, but arrive late?
You are expected to be on time as sessions are brief and lateness can disrupt the flow for the rest of the group. If you are a little late, inform the facilitator that you have joined via the Zoom chat.
What happens if I miss a session?
If you are unable to attend a session you will be recorded as absent. You will also be emailed an alternative task that covers the learnings from the missed session. It is important to note that the completion of these alternative tasks do not make up for a missed session.
What should I do if I have trouble joining the online sessions or accessing content?
Contact Australian Graduate School of Management directly via the chat box in Navigator.
If I cannot complete the program requirements, will I be refunded on cancellation?
No refunds are provided if you choose not to complete the program. Registration can be transferred to another participant from the same agency up to 10 business days before the program commences.
Is active participation in the sessions required for my attendance to be recorded?
Yes. Your camera should be switched on during the sessions as you will be involved in webinar breakout groups and other small group sessions.
I have completed the Propel program, when will I have access to my digital badge?
The Australian Graduate School of Management will contact you within 3 months of the course finishing with instructions on how to upload your digital badge and details about your credit points. To locate your badge, search in your email account for AGSM@UNSW Business School Badges no-reply.badges@agsm.edu.au.
Are the sessions recorded?
For confidentiality reasons these sessions are not recorded, so make sure to check the dates on the website so you can plan ahead as much as possible.
