More about Rounds 1 and 2
- Round 1, which closed on 31 July 2023, co-funded SMEs, LGAs and NFPs to install alternating current (AC) chargers.
- Round 2, which closed on 30 June 2024, extended this co-funding to both AC and the faster direct current (DC) charger installations, to promote connectivity between metropolitan and regional areas, including provision of fast charging stations at key locations.
- These figures are expected to increase with some Round 2 applications still under approval processes due to the high number of applications.
