Please read the information and guidelines (PDF, 242KB) and code of conduct for research document (PDF, 285 KB) before applying.

The documents contain important information you need to know before you start including the application requirements, approval process, and the research ethics approval process.

How to apply

It is recommended researchers seek early feedback to your research idea by submitting an expression of interest (EOI) to conduct research form (DOCX, 159KB). This is to ensure proposed projects are logistically feasible prior to submitting a full application.

Once an EOI has been approved, you are welcome to submit an application form:

Assessing applications

Applications take a minimum of four weeks to be assessed (longer in complex or contentious research requests) and therefore should be submitted well in advance of the intended commencement date.

Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be informed in writing of the outcome of their application.
