Police issue infringements for security and related activities to individuals or companies as an alternative for some offences.
Payment is not considered an admission for any civil or criminal court case and the fine does not have to be declared on your criminal history.
You have 28 days from date of issue to pay the full amount:
- in person at any Australia Post location
- by mailing a cheque or money order to:

- online using Visa or Mastercard
If paying online, you will need the reference number on the bottom left of your infringement.

Final demand
A final demand notice with additional costs is issued if you haven’t paid your original security infringement notice by the payment due date.
If the final demand is not paid within another 28 days, your infringement will be recorded by the Fines Enforcement Registry which will incur additional costs. Payment can be made:
