You can renew your licence as early as six months before the expiry date and pay by post, in person or online.
Your photograph and signature need to be updated every 10 years. The Department of Transport will let you know if this is required. If so, you must: visit a Driver and Vehicle Services Centre or regional agent or photopoint location with identification.
Online payments can be made with a Visa or Mastercard.
