Fines Enforcement Registry (FER)

Ignoring your infringements or court fines will not make them go away.

There are serious consequences for not paying fines and/or infringements in Western Australia including Licence Suspension Orders, deducting money from your bank account or wages (garnishee orders), vehicle immobilisation, number plate removal, seizure and sale of your property, Orders to Attend for Work and Development (court fines) and Magistrates Court Inquiries to determine the appropriate action to be taken to enforce the fine(s).

The Fines Enforcement Registry may send text and email messages to the mobile number and email address they have for you on record.  These messages are sent as a courtesy, in addition to written notices to advise of the status of an outstanding matter in your name.

The text message you receive will be from ‘COURTS WA’ and will include a link to the eCourts Portal, this link will appear as bit.ly/ViewCases or bit.ly/ViewMyFines. Emails are from DoNotReply@justice.wa.gov.au. Any SMS or email will include your name and CRN and include advice regarding your current outstanding matter(s).

If you ever receive an SMS that contains information you are unsure of, contact the Fines Enforcement Registry during opening hours.   

If you are experiencing difficulties in paying your infringement notices and/or court fines, you are encouraged to contact the Fines Enforcement Registry to discuss your options.

Alternatively, queries can be made in person at your nearest Magistrates Court.
