Updates to award coverage and provisions in private sector WA awards made by the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

WA awards are being updated, and the coverage of awards expanded, as part of a process being undertaken by the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission to review various private sector WA awards.

For details on recent or upcoming changes to particular WA awards choose the relevant award below. 

Changes to the Shop and Warehouse Award

Updates to award provisions in June 2024 and the award’s coverage in October 2024.

Changes to the Hairdressers Award

Updates to the award and extension of coverage to the beauty industry effective January 1, 2025.

Changes to the Transport Workers (General) Award

Updates to award coverage in October 2024.

Changes to the coverage of the Clerks Awards

The coverage of three key clerical awards was expanded in December 2023.
