The Pilbara Environmental Offsets Fund (PEOF) was established to combine multiple offset payments to enable the delivery of larger and more landscape-scale conservation projects. All projects must relate to the environmental matters that are required to be offset, be on-ground focused, and have long-term and enduring benefits for biodiversity and local people.
Achieving this requires the collaboration of multiple parties across different land tenures to deliver conservation programs. This fosters opportunities for training, capacity building, access, decision-making and management of Country over the long term.
We use a co-design approach, and priorities and guidance in the implementation plan, to develop long-term collaborative projects that deliver ecological outcomes and support Traditional Owners to access and care for Country.
The map below shows the locations of current projects and those in development.
