eConveyancing verification process - Commissioner's assessment

See the process for verifying that transfer duty has been paid on a Commissioner-assessed transaction in an electronic settlement.

1. Lodge the agreement

Electronically lodge the agreement with the Commissioner using Revenue Online (Duties Lodgments), the Online Services Portal or on paper (using your Online Duties Client ID).

2. Pay duty

Once you receive an assessment notice from RevenueWA, pay the amount of duty outstanding. If paying electronically, allow 2-3 business days for the payment to clear.

3. Trigger verification process

Once payment is cleared, print the certificate of duty. Enter the certificate of duty number into the ELNO workspace to trigger the duty verification process.

4. Unsuccessful verification

If there are any errors on verification, check the details of the error message to determine what action is required. See the list of error messages and actions.

5. Required changes

If changes are required to the assessment details entered by RevenueWA, contact the assessing officer to make the amendments and reissue the assessment. A new duties certificate will be issued. Re-enter the certificate number into the ELNO workspace to trigger the duty verification process again.

6. Successful verification

Once you receive a successful duty verification, the details of a No Double Duty certificate will be issued into your ELNO workspace. This will allow you to proceed to settle at your scheduled time.
