Cow's milk allergy webinar recording now available

The webinar recording for managing cow's milk allergy in children's education and care is now available on the allergy AWARE website.

The webinar, held earlier this year on 24 July 2024, was an initiative by the National Allergy Council and Department of Communities and was presented by Ingrid Roche (APD) and Dr Merryn Netting (Advanced APD), Senior Project Officers, National Allergy Council in partnership with the ECRU.

Topics covered, include:

  • common food allergies in babies and young children
  • risk minimisation strategies for food allergy in childcare
  • facts about cow’s milk allergy, and more.

ERU Sector Support 2023 Roadshow - November 2023

Presentations from the 2023 Roadshows:

Edith Cowan University – Wendy Harmon, Lecturer

Focused on collaborative leadership and teamwork and the interdependent elements of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Using their centre philosophy as a basis, attendees engaged in professional conversations to deepen their understanding of the link between vision, principles, practices and learning outcomes to positively impact children’s learning.


Reconciliation WA – Pamela Chatfield, Education Manager

Focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history, cultural responsiveness and Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) and how to develop authentic connections with Narragunnawali, the community and Reconciliation WA.


Ombudsman WA

Focused on the Reportable Conduct Scheme. Attendees gained an understanding of their responsibilities to notify the Ombudsman of allegations or convictions relating to child abuse by employees under the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
