Police issue infringements as an alternative to deal with some criminal conduct. Payment is not considered an admission for any civil or criminal court case and the infringement does not have to be declared on your criminal history. 

Failure to pay by the due date will result in a final demand notice with additional costs to pay.

You have 28 days from date of issue to pay the full amount online using Visa or Mastercard (note: you will need the reference number, which is located on the bottom left of your fine):

Final demand

A final demand notice with additional costs is issued if you haven’t paid your original criminal code infringement by the payment due date.

If the final demand is not paid within another 28 days, your infringement will be recorded by the Fines Enforcement Registry which will incur additional costs.
