The Guideline: Industry regulation guide to licensing provides information about the process of preparing, submitting, assessing and deciding applications for works approvals, licences (including transitioning from a works approval to a licence), amendments, transfers, surrenders, and registrations of prescribed premises.  

It also includes crucial information around how we manage the transition of a prescribed premises from a works approval to a licence.

Consultation

The guideline was published following an extensive public consultation process from May to July 2018, with a second round of consultation with key stakeholders in April 2019.

The consultation summary report addresses the submissions received during the two consultation periods and the changes made to the guideline in response to those submissions.
