Dealers Licence
A Dealers Licence entitles the holder to deal in firearms and ammunition on the premises named and identified in that licence, to receive firearms for the purpose of dismantling for parts, and to arrange for the repair or servicing of firearms by the holder of a Repairers Licence, and authorises the holder or an employee or partner of the holder to have in their possession, and to carry in the ordinary course of the business of that dealer, any such firearm or ammunition or to use it for the purposes of testing it or of demonstrating it to a prospective purchaser.
Dealer Licences are issued subject to conditions which may restrict the licence to certain types of dealing, such as ammunition only, or certain categories of firearms.
Repairers Licence
A Repairers Licence entitles the holder to repair firearms belonging to persons who are authorised to possess them, and to possess ammunition for those firearms, on the premises named and identified in that licence, and authorises the holder or an employee or partner of the holder to have in their possession, and to carry in the ordinary course of the business of that repairer, any such firearm or ammunition and to use any such firearm or ammunition for the purposes of testing it.
Repairers Licences are issued subject to conditions which may restrict the licence, such as repairing certain categories of firearms.
Manufacturers Licence
A Manufacturers Licence entitles the holder to manufacture firearms or ammunition of the kind specified in that licence on the premises named and identified in that licence and to sell and dispose of such firearms and ammunition at those premises, and authorises the holder or an employee or partner of the holder to have in their possession, and to carry in the ordinary course of the business of that manufacturer, any such firearm or ammunition and to use any such firearm or ammunition for the purposes of testing it or of demonstrating it to a prospective purchaser.
Manufacturers Licences are issued subject to conditions which may restrict the licence to certain types of manufacturing, such as ammunition only, or certain categories of firearms.
