The Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) creates a variety of maps and digital spatial layers that show the geology, minerals, and petroleum resources of Western Australia. You can also access geophysical and geochemical datasets and images from across the State.

Accessing our maps

We offer geological, geophysical, and resource maps for the entire state, at different scales from 1:100,000 to 1:10,000,000.

These maps are available as:

  • Digital spatial datasets that you can see in GeoVIEW.WA and download from the Data and Software Centre (DASC).
    • In DASC, select ‘Statewide Spatial Datasets’, then ‘Geology’, then select the product name and ‘Download’.
  • PDF files downloadable from the DEMIRS eBookshop
  • Some prints are available at the Information Counter on Level 1 of Mineral House, 100 Plain Street, East Perth. Fees may apply.
