The Data and Software Centre (DASC) lets you download different types of mapping and spatial data, including:
- Mining tenements
- Exploration tenements
- Petroleum titles
- Georeferenced images (map images with location data)
When you download a dataset, it comes as a zip file. Inside, you’ll find:
- A metadata statement
- The dataset (in geographical coordinates using GDA94)
- A licence statement (rules for using the data)
DASC also offers software like GeoMap.WA and Mineral Exploration Reporting Templates (MRT). Manuals and training videos are available to help you if you get stuck.
