The Industry Liaison Committee (ILC) has been set up to facilitate collaboration between industry and the State Government in decarbonising the Pilbara.
The Industry Liaison Committee
- The committee informs discussions and progresses the work program of the second phase of the Pilbara Roundtable series and the broader Pilbara Energy Transition (PET) Plan.
- The ILC aims to understand and, where possible, address the issues facing the resources industry, energy industry and new industries in the region.
- This committee was re-established in July 2024 following a meeting of the Pilbara Roundtable in June 2024.
Membership
The ILC membership includes representatives from various State Government agencies, including but not limited to:
- Energy Policy WA
- Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
- Department of the Premier and Cabinet
- Department of Treasury
- Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage
- Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
- Infrastructure WA
Member organisations from industry include major resources companies and electricity industry participants operating in the Pilbara region.
