Industry Liaison Committee

The Industry Liaison Committee brings together industry and State Government stakeholders to help develop a better understanding of the issues facing industry in the Pilbara Energy Transition.

The Industry Liaison Committee (ILC) has been set up to facilitate collaboration between industry and the State Government in decarbonising the Pilbara.

The Industry Liaison Committee

  • The committee informs discussions and progresses the work program of the second phase of the Pilbara Roundtable series and the broader Pilbara Energy Transition (PET) Plan.
     
  • The ILC aims to understand and, where possible, address the issues facing the resources industry, energy industry and new industries in the region.
     
  • This committee was re-established in July 2024 following a meeting of the Pilbara Roundtable in June 2024. 

Membership

The ILC membership includes representatives from various State Government agencies, including but not limited to:

  • Energy Policy WA
  • Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
  • Department of the Premier and Cabinet
  • Department of Treasury
  • Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage
  • Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
  • Infrastructure WA

Member organisations from industry include major resources companies and electricity industry participants operating in the Pilbara region.
