Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation - Tourism

Through Tourism WA, we aim to develop, attract and market Western Australia as a world-class holiday and events destination.
Last updated:

Western Australia’s tourism industry is a key economic driver for the local economy. In the year ending June 2024, visitors spent $18.3 billion in WA.

Tourism WA is a statutory authority and part of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. As a State Tourism Organisation, Tourism WA’s job is to grow the tourism sector and we do so by improving access to our state, supporting operators, and investing in diverse accommodation and tourism experiences

We also work in partnership with industry, the private sector and government to promote WA, attract events to the state, and help our local tourism industry thrive.
