At Communities, our values call for us to value diversity, treat everyone with dignity and fairness, and seek to understand the perspectives and experiences of others.
We want all of our employees to feel valued, free to be who they are and able to bring their whole self to work, regardless of their individual differences.
Our workforce comprises individuals young and old, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability and those with diverse gender identities and/or sexuality.
Our staff are supported through a range of employee-led networks, they are an important way to raise awareness and promote diversity, equity and inclusion at Communities. These include our possAbility Network for staff with disability, our LGBTI+ Allies network for staff and their allies and our Aboriginal Employee Network which is in the process of being established with staff across Communities.
Our eLearning courses, training and resources on our online knowledge hubs (such as the Rainbow Hub and Aboriginal Cultural Hub) focus on specific areas of diversity to ensure our workforce understands the importance of respecting diversity and role modelling inclusion.
At Communities, everyone can bring their whole self to work.
