Aboriginal employment at the Department of Communities

We recognise that the diverse skills, knowledge and experiences of Aboriginal people add significant value to the work we do at Communities.
Last updated:

Our Aboriginal employees enrich our diverse workforce and ensure a culturally sensitive and informed approach to decision making and culturally responsive services for Aboriginal people, children and communities.

At Communities, the dedicated Aboriginal Outcomes Division takes responsibility for driving improvements in cultural competence and responsiveness across Communities, advises on best practice partnerships and provides Aboriginal workforce support, delivery of strategy and reporting.

Our diversity, equity and inclusion plan is our commitment to attracting and retaining Aboriginal people and providing culturally appropriate and responsive services to improve equal opportunity outcomes for all.

Aboriginal people are strongly encouraged to apply for all roles at all levels and across all portfolios. Visit the Communities Jobs Board to find out what types of roles available in different office locations. If you are an Aboriginal person who would like assistance with your application, please contact Jobs and Skills WA on 13 64 64.
