Public interest disclosure policy

Policy
The Department of Training and Workforce Development is committed to the aims and objectives of the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2003 (PID Act).
Last updated:

The PID Act recognises the value and importance of contributions of all Department employees to enhance administrative and management practices, and strongly supports disclosures being made by Department employees about misconduct, offences, misuse of public resources or risks to public health and safety.

This policy applies to all Department employees, public sector contractors, and any person making a disclosure to the Department relating to a matter of public interest information where the discloser prefers that their identity remains confidential to protect them from victimisation or other reprisal by reporting an issue.
