Intractable Waste Disposal Facility Performance and Compliance Report 2020-21

Corporate report
Annual Performance and Compliance Report for Western Australia’s Intractable Waste Disposal Facility (IWDF) in Mt Walton East.
Last updated:

The IWDF, established in 1992, is Australia’s first long term disposal site for intractable waste - materials that are a management problem because their toxicity or chemical or physical characteristics make them difficult to dispose of or treat safely.

This report fulfils the requirements of Ministerial Condition 5.1 of Ministerial Statement 562, issued by the Environmental Protection Authority, and summarises the compliance of the IWDF’s operations against the requirements of various governing instruments.
