Since then, 2,331 Western Australian volunteers have been honoured through the Awards program for 25 or more years of service.
In 2024, eligibility for these awards has been expanded to capture the breadth of volunteering contribution across WA.
Volunteers can now be nominated for the following categories.
- 5 - 9 years of voluntary service
- 10 - 19 years of voluntary service
- 20 - 29 years of voluntary service
- 30 - 39 years of voluntary service
- 40 - 49 years of voluntary service
- 50 - 59 years of voluntary service
- Lifetime of voluntary service (60 plus years of volunteering)
The online nomination process has also been streamlined.
Nominations close on the 29 February 2024. All awards will be distributed during National Volunteer Week in May 2024.
