2021: Draft policy consultation
The final policy reflects the feedback of more than 1,000 participants on the draft policy received from August to October 2021. Across sectors, stakeholders broadly supported the intent of the draft policy and the reforms it would drive.

2020: Issues paper consultation
From November 2019 to February 2020, the Government sought feedback on four proposed initiatives to improve the consistency and transparency of native vegetation management via a Native vegetation in Western Australia issues paper. Feedback from over 1,000 participants showed broad support for all initiatives, including the development of a state native vegetation policy.
