This issues paper provides information on four initiatives the Government of Western Australia is planning and prompts stakeholder advice feedback and advice.

The initiatives aim to improve consistency and transparency in how native vegetation is managed across all government processes and include:

  1. A State native vegetation policy
  2. Investing in better information including mapping and monitoring
  3. Improving our regulatory processes
  4. Exploring a bioregional approach to managing native vegetation.
