The Family Court Counselling and Consultancy Service provides assessments and advice to families and judiciary of the Family Court of WA in relation to parenting matters.
The referral to the Service is only available by the Family Court of WA.
Family Consultants in the Family Court Counselling and Consultancy Service:
- attend child related proceedings list which is the first hearing for most parenting matters;
- assess risk factors that impact on families, children and family functioning following separation;
- provide advice to families and the Court regarding resources and services which may help families;
- write and provide reports to the courts as evidence that may assist parents to resolve their dispute.
