The Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (WA PCYC) facilitates a safe place for disadvantaged children and young people to feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

Blue Light™

Police officers manage Blue Light™ Youth Activity Units in remote and rural where there is no PCYC. They organise activities for young people to have fun in a safe, supervised environment, away from negative influences such as drugs and alcohol.

Constable Care Foundation

The Constable Care Child Safety Foundation is a non-profit organisation helping make the community a safer place for all kids.

They tour day care centres and schools teaching children about road safety, drugs, bullying, graffiti, friends, health, crime and treating people with respect.

Community safety crime prevention plans

If you are a local government representative and would like more information about police crime safety prevention programs (CSCP) email community.liaison@police.wa.gov.au.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact their local council for their CSCP plan.

ThinkUKnow

ThinkUKnow is aimed at teaching students and their parents on how to limit what information is given out and to discuss the potential dangers and consequences when sharing information through social sites.

Email community.liaison@police.wa.gov.au to learn more about organising information sessions.

Police Rangers

Police Ranger Units operate in selected secondary schools training students between 12 and 17 years on valuable life skills. This program is offered free of charge, through the Cadets WA funding (with the exception of special unit events).

The training programs for First Class Ranger and Senior Ranger are endorsed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia and enable rangers who successfully meet the course standards to gain points towards their WA Certificate of Education.

Contact your local unit or email wapolicerangerssmail@police.wa.gov.au for more information on Ranger Units and activities:
