Waroona Seniors' Ageing Well Expo 2024 (two day event)
Our expo is to celebrate and support our seniors for their ongoing commitment to our communities, as well as encouraging artistic and cultural expression through a joint ongoing Indigenous art project during the event.
Over two days, through a series of morning and afternoon sessions on useful, helpful and relevant information for ageing well, seniors will hear presenters on topics including connectivity, staying safe from online scams, managing passwords and devices, legal planning including advance care directives, the importance of gentle exercise, nutrition, sense of connection and belonging, accommodation options, healthy ageing principles and assistive products for the home.
The program will be a brief presentation by our guest experts, followed by an activity, concluding with a morning or afternoon tea and socialising. In between sessions, we are hosting a local Indigenous artist who will encourage participants to join in a collaborative design artwork on a community canvas.

Our Rock n Roll Journey - music from the 50s to the 80s search
Thanks to Council of the Ageing (COTA) WA, the Dumbleyung Community Resource Centre (CRC) has received funding to subsidise the entertainment which is called 'Our Rock and Roll Journey' by none other than the well-known Gold Logie Award winner John Wood aka Sergeant Tom Croydon off the long running police drama ‘Blue Heelers’. His partner in crime is Dave Allen, who has been a musician and entertainer his whole life. They are travelling around rural WA to include the Goldfields and the Wheatbelt, to entertain communities with their show, playing to crowds, small or large.
The evening commences around 7pm and if you want to come for a meal, you are advised to book for Mila’s smorgasbord by Wednesday 13th November which will be at an additional cost of $25 per head. The ticket cost to the Rock and Roll Show is $15 each if you purchase from the Dumbleyung CRC, or $20 at the door. Please note that the Dumbleyung Club have stipulated that everyone who comes to the Club on the 15th Nov will be required to pay for the show.
