Sabreena was fostered from birth along with her two older sisters. She credits her foster parents for providing a safe and loving home throughout her childhood for her and her siblings.
A keen footballer, Sabreena has achieved significant success in the AFL Women's League (AFLW) playing for Fremantle Football Club and Melbourne Football Club. In 2019 she was nominated for the AFL Women's Rising Star award and named in the AFL Women's All-Australian team squad.
She acknowledges the important role her foster parents played in providing her with these opportunities and helping her achieve her goals.
Sabreena believes that the support, love and kindness she was provided by her foster parents has helped to shape who she is today and inspires her to treat others with kindness and respect.
