Ali was approved as a family carer in 2009 and then as a general foster carer with her husband, Les in August 2020.
Ali and Les have supported more than 10 children, in different situations such as emergency care, regular short-term care and longer-term care.
Ali says she loves children, and making a difference. Ali and Les provide a supportive and loving environment to any child that comes into their home and treat them like their own family.
Ali supports children to return to their biological parents and has formed meaningful links with some of the parents she has supported to be reunified with their children. She says this is her greatest reward.
