Family and Domestic Violence
This session was facilitated by Dr Langdon, an award-winning corporate trainer, certified executive coach and Adjunct Professor at Curtin University. She specialises in transformative leadership, communication and culture. Dr Langdon has held management roles in State and Federal government and is an experienced Senior Lecturer in Communications. She works with national and international clients, including executive and emerging leaders from business, education, government and not-for-profit sectors.
- Dr Nicole Leggett is the Executive Director for the Office for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence, within the Strategy and Partnerships division of the Department of Communities. She has worked in the family violence sector for 16 years, starting with the then peak body, the Women’s Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services. Dr Leggett commenced with the Department of Communities in 2008, working in and around family violence policy, service delivery, program development and training. The Office for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence works across four discrete functions – strategic policy, system reform and innovation, Family and Domestic Violence Response Teams and family and domestic violence practice. Dr Leggett is deeply committed to family violence prevention and improving outcomes for victim-survivors through safe, culturally secure and person-centred services; informed and capable workforces; and integrated service systems.
- Luke Mulder, is Manager Great South Adult Community Corrections, Department of Justice and Chair Great Southern DLG. He has worked extensively in both Youth Justice and Adult Community Corrections and has also been the chair of the Great Southern Human Services Forum for several years. Currently, Luke is the chair of the Family Domestic Violence working group for the Great Southern DLG, working together with local agencies to explore the setup of a Family Violence Listing day in the Albany Court to promote collaborative case management, victim safety and holding perpetrators to account.
