As part of the Wind Turbine Manufacturing Initiative, the WA Government has signed a Collaboration Agreement with the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC) to deliver an industry support program aiming to enhance the capacity and capability of WA businesses to participate in wind energy supply chains.

AMGC is considered the leading Australian authority on global advanced manufacturing knowledge, advanced processes and advanced business models. AMGC is also connected with a nationwide network of manufacturers, universities and research institutions.

Under the Collaboration Agreement, AMGC will establish a WA-based office and team with experienced staff. In collaboration with the WA government, AMGC will co-design and deliver an industry support program for WA businesses.

This includes support to progress businesses’ level of prequalification with wind turbine componentry original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), plant and equipment upgrades, skills development and the provision of professional advice.

This collaboration not only provides WA businesses and workers with needed support, but will also drive economic development, job creation, and climate-positive action for a sustainable future.
