The stakeholder consultation period for Tranche 3 of the Amending Rules will be open for four weeks with stakeholders invited to provide written submissions by 5:00 PM, 23 November 2020. Comments can be provided to energytransformation@energy.wa.gov.au
Tranche 3 of the Amending Rules provide for the followings:
- The introduction of the Network Access Quantities Framework;
- The treatment of how storage resources (including hybrid facilities with storage) will be accredited;
- Consequential changes to the Reserve Capacity Mechanism to support the implementation of the new security constrained market design;
- Alignment of Reserve Capacity Settlement to a weekly settlement process; and
- A governance framework for the development of future Whole of System Plans.
The Taskforce thanks stakeholders for their feedback on the Amending WEM Rules as part of previous consultation processes.
