Applications for the Strategic Industrial Area Rent Scheme open Monday 1 July 2024 and run to mid-2028.
The Western Australian Government recognises the significant costs experienced by first movers to Strategic Industrial Areas (SIAs). The Rent Scheme is intended to support these foundation projects by providing financial support to first movers who enter eligible Leases in an approved SIA and have an on-site capital expenditure of $1 billion or more, amongst other criteria.
The Rent Scheme will deliver an Option to Lease fee rebate and a Lease rent waiver for a set period to incentivise foundation projects critical to the State’s future.
There are 2 components to the Rent Scheme:
- A rebate of Option to Lease fees
- A waiver of rent for the first 5 years of a Lease
