Karrakatta Cemetery first opened for burials in 1899. With an area of 98 hectares, Karrakatta has become the final resting place of hundreds of thousands of Western Australian citizens. The Cemetery is centrally located seven kilometres west of the CBD and is easily accessible by car or train. Karrakatta offers many types of burial areas and beautifully landscaped memorial gardens.
