This publication is a summary of the Hairdressers Award. The Award can be viewed on the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission’s website

Major changes to the state Hairdressers Award commence on 1 January 2025, as this award has been updated by the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

On 1 January 2025 the coverage of the Hairdressers Award will be extended to the beauty industry as well as hairdressing. State system employers and employees in the beauty industry will be covered by a WA award for the first time. To reflect the expansion of coverage, the award will be renamed the Hair and Beauty Industry (WA) Award.
