Family and Domestic Violence Response Team Operating Procedures

Guidance
A partnership between the Department of Communities, Western Australia Police and specialist family and domestic violence services.
Last updated:

The Family and Domestic Violence Response Team (FDVRT) is a partnership between the Department of Communities, WA Police and non-government family and domestic violence services. The FDVRT model became operational in February 2013.

The FDVRT model aims to improve the safety of child and adult victims of family and domestic violence through a collaborative approach that focuses on timely and early intervention following a police call out to a family violence incident.

The FDVRT Operating Guidelines are being updated to reflect a strengthened response to family and domestic violence cases.
