In 2017 the former Department for Child Protection and Family Support contracted Indigenous Psychological Services to undertake an audit of the newly released Foster Care and Adoption Assessment Manual, as well as a cultural competency audit of child protection staff.
The Indigenous Psychological Services report was delivered to the Department of Communities in October 2019.
A significant body of work has been undertaken by Communities across a range of programs and initiatives that address the recommendations provided.
