This protocol sets out the default arrangement for ensuring that payments for container deposit scheme material collected from kerbsides are shared reasonably between material recovery facility operators processing kerbside material and the local governments from which the material originated.
The protocol is pursuant to the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery (Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2019.
